does National Treasure mean A World Without Thieves, After The Sunset?
Movie review time!A world without thieves tells the story of how two wanted thieves (Andy Lau & Rene Liu) have a change of heart and try to help a young dumb but kind-hearted innocent painter by stopping other thieves from stealing his hard-earned money. The movie begins with the duo blackmailing a businessman and running away with his car. On the run, they come across a Tibetan monastry where the lady decides to live a stabler life and tries to encourage her man to settle down..i.e give up the steal and run life. This is not acceptable to the man and so they fight with each other. Though deep down, they love each other...
They chance upon a young painter who is going home after many years of hard work, with plans to build a home, buy cattle, get married and settle down in his village. But he is dumb and believes that the world is without thieves. When he announces how much money he is carrying with him on the train back home, a gang of thieves plan to take his money away. Now the heroine really likes this dumbo and makes him her little brother, vowing to stop whoever plans to steal the money. And our hero, realizing that it is a bit difficult for her finally agrees to help her. Who would not, if they learned that their baby is on the way. To know how the story unfolds on the train, watch the movie. It has good background scores and lovely cinematography. More details.
National Treasure is a chase between the good guy and the bad guy to find a hidden treasure, the clues to which lead up to a map printed behind the declaration of independence, and a treasure that lies beneath Trinity Church in NYC. Close to where I used to work before. If you have read the Da Vinci Code and are waiting for that movie, please do not waste anytime on this one. Cage is smart as usual but the movie disappoints.
After The Sunset - Pierce Brosnan is cool. Its great to see him get roles like Sir Sean. And one does realize that his age is finally catching up with him. But his charm seems to be increasing day by day. He plays the role of a notorious diamond thief who has gone into retirement with his lover in a place far away from FBI jurisdiction. Seaweed spa, beach life, exotic food, dancing, drinking seem to be making up his day until the FBI agent, he made look like a fool before, turns up. The agent tries to tempt him into stealing a famous diamond from an exhibition aboard a ship that is docked at the port. Will he fall for it? I suggest you watch this one rather than the other two I covered in this space.
