If loving you is wrong
If loving you is wrong I don't wanna be rightIf being right means being without you
I'd rather live a wrong doing life
Your mama and daddy say it's a shame
It's a downright disgrace
Long as I got you by my side
I don't care what your people say
If I can't see you when I want to
I'll see you when I can
If loving you is wrong I don't wanna be right
Am I wrong to fall so deeply in love with you
And am I wrong to hunger
for the gentleness of your touch
knowing I got somebody else at home
who needs me just as much
And am I wrong trying to hold on
To the best thing I ever had
If loving you is wrong I don't wanna be right
I don't wanna be right
If it means sleeping alone at night
I don't wanna be right
If it means coming home at night
I don't wanna, I don't wanna
I don't wanna never, never, never be right
Skin Shaver...
Bill Gates met God, and God said, "Well, Bill, I'm really confused on this one.I'm not sure whether to send you to Heaven or to Hell. After all, you enormously helped society by putting a computer in almost every home in the world, and yet you created that ghastly Windows.
I'm going to do something I've never done before. I'm going to let you decide where you want to go.
"Bill Gates said, "What's the difference between the two?"
God said, "It might help you decide if you took a peek at both place.
Shall we look at Hell first?"
Bill was amazed. He saw a clean, white sandy beach with clear waters.
There were thousands of beautiful men and women running around, playing in the water, laughing and frolicking about.
The sun was shining and the temperature was perfect.
"This is great!" said Bill. "If this is Hell, I can't wait to see Heaven." God said, "Let's go!" and off they went to Heaven.
Bill saw puffy white clouds in a beautiful blue sky, with angels drifting about, playing harps and singing.
It was nice, but surely not as enticing as Hell. Bill thought for only a brief moment and rendered his decision.
"God, I do believe I would prefer to go to Hell." As you wish," said God.
Two weeks later, God decided to check up on the late billionaire to see how things were going. He found Bill shackled to a wall, screaming amidst the hot flames in a dark cave. He was being tortured by demons with pitchforks. "How ya doing', Bill?" asked God. Bill responded with anguish and despair,
"This is awful! This is not what I expected at all! What happened to the beach and the beautiful women playing in the water?"
"Oh, that," said God. "That was the screen saver."

So You Think You Can Dance

Do you feel the music? Do you feel the rhythm? Do you feel it flow through your body?
Last summer, the US saw some competition for the American Idol. Yes, Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe had come together to launch the ultimate dance competition in the US – So You Think You Can Dance. Co-produced by Allen Shapiro (19 Entertainment, Ltd), the smash hit is back again this year to search for America’s hidden dance talent. FOX tv proudly says – “If you think the AMERICAN IDOL competition is tough, you haven’t seen anything yet! Some contestants will collapse under the pressure, others will reveal their two left feet; but only one will dance his or her way into America’s heart”.
Here are two videos I picked on YouTube for you to watch (clippings from the show).
Blake Solo
Blake and Kamillah
Here is a link to help you catch up on the show…if are not up to speed yet.
If you think dancing requires training then watch this video…it has nothing to do with age or experience.
Baby Hip-Hopper
And it’s not only a thing of the west. Here are some Asian bois showing you the best of their stuff…
If you are a good dancer…then go ahead and register at the BBoyWorld website. And share your talent with others. And again, if you need speed to catch up, here is the fuel in step by step instruction videos..

Nellykins says hi! It was a pleasant surprise to see her visit the office with Brendon. I held him for some time and played with him...so happy :-)) and he hugged me!! :-) WOW!

We had birthday lunch for HL and JL at Balalaika - Russian Bar & Restaurant in LKF. It was quite relaxing....

until they served the Russian Borsch soup...yikes...

the egg shaped salt/pepa dispensers were really cute...

I went for Chicken Stroganoff...which was served with rice and broccoli making me wonder whether they eat that much rice in Russia!

The sweet part was the dessert vanilla...FH let me have hers because she was so full from the Chicken Shashalik. Ceci had a VIP card. WOW...she still needs 4 chops to get to the free lunch :0))

The Balalaika also has a -20 deg bar where you can wear fur coats and sip on vodka...must try that out sometime. :-) Meanwhile, preparations are on for Sydney. I fly out on Sunday night and fly back on Saturday morning. Will blog from the Lounge as usual :-). Its a minimum of 5degC and its gonna rain while I am there....hmmm...prepared to freeze...

Book Review : Robert Ludlum's Covert One - 3 in 1
Robert Ludlum. The best author of spy stories? No doubt! Every little detail is so beautifully described that it has your adrenaline pumping…you feel you are right there in the scene taking part in all the action…
Jason Bourne will be back in 2007 in Eric Van Lustbader‘s – tentatively titled – THE BOURNE TRAJECTORY.
“It's official! I'm writing the next Jason Bourne novel, which is tentatively titled, The Bourne Trajectory. I'm 2/3 of the way through the draft. It's tentatively scheduled for publication in the summer of 2007, but that's dependent on the release date of the third Bourne film, The Bourne Ultimatum, starring Matt Damon. Paul Greengrass, the director of The Bourne Supremacy will be back helming, which ensures another quality edge-of-your-seat thrillride.”
As posted on his website.
This particular post is sort of an introduction to the covert-one operations and will use links to more information available on other websites.
After the tremendous success of Jason Bourne series, covert-one agent Jon Smith has been chosen to be the central character in the new Covert One series. The authors who have taken up the task of keeping this character alive are Gayle Lynds, Patrick Larkin and Philip Shelby.
http://www.ludlumbooks.com/images/covert.gif">Covert One - A and loosely knit organization of agents that operates outside of the military and intelligence structure, unknown to the public and to most government insiders. Covert-One acts upon the discretion of the President. Covert-One operate out of a seemingly legitimate private yacht club along the Potomac.
Col Jonathon (Jon) Smith, M.D – Jonathon Smith is a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army and also a doctor working at US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID). He is tall, athletic man in his early forties. He lost his wife at the end of the first book in the covert-one series – THE HADES FACTOR…which I am going to read later…He reminds you so much of Jason Bourne…that sometimes you feel they are the same character.
Randi Russel – This CIA agent has finally forgiven her brother-in-law, Jon, for not having been able to save her sister’s life. She catches up with Jon every time they are in Washington DC…and surprisingly their paths meet during various operations. She can easily see through Jon’s excuses and suspects him to be working for someone very powerful. She is a master of disguises.
Peter Howell – Officially retired, Peter Howell, a long time friend of JS, has been an agent for various British agencies including MI6 and SIS. He is activated on rare occasions by various British intelligence services time and again. He not only outshines Jon in some scenes but also saves his life. Jon is always in awe of this man.
Nathaniel Frederick (Fred) Klein – Covert-One team reports only to him. Fred Klein uses a series of part-time agents - specialists in their particular fields - to carry out operations where the official channels either can't be trusted or move too slowly. Klein himself is buried deeply in the command structure of the Pentagon and remains off the radar.
President Sam Castilla – He is the reason for Covert-One team being formed. He did not trust his intelligence teams much and wanted covert-one team to operate above and beyond the CIA, FBI, etc. He relies heavily on his long time Fred Klein and his team to deliver in situations when hope dangles by a very thin thread. He is strong enough to make his own decisions and stand up against the house if required.
THE ALTMAN CODEThis is the first of the CO novels I read.
There is information that a Chinese cargo ship is carrying chemicals to Iraq; chemicals that could be used to build weapons. The US intelligence must get their hands on the manifest to prove to the world that it is indeed carrying the chemicals.
There has been an embarrassing situation in the past where US Marines boarded a Chinese vessel claiming it to be laden with weapons-grade stuff but found nothing. China had used that incident to show to the world what a bully the US was. So this time there could be no such folly on political lines. Jon Smith is attending a boring conference in Taiwan when he is called in to pick up the manifest from another agent. Unfortunately, not only are they ambushed but the agent gets killed. And Jon does not have the manifest. He is sent into China to retrieve it.
Meanwhile the major political leader in the Chinese government finds out about this. Only problem is he is not sure what is on the ship and whether it is a trick of his colleague who wants to show him down and destroy his political career. Torn between the sense of national pride of not bowing to the US, the scare of the ship’s unknown cargo and the cunning game played by his long time enemy, he must strike a balance.
Somewhere deep in rural China an old man identifies himself to be the biological father of the US President and hence CO has the additional task of freeing him. He has been a political prisoner for such a long time that nobody remembers why he was arrested in the first place. But with mounting international pressure to set Human Rights records straight, there is a probability that he would be made to disappear by the Chinese government.
Time is running out and somehow Jon Smith must get the manifest, catch/kill the bad guys and stop the vessel from unloading the deadly cargo…and rescue the president’s father. Does he win? Hehehe…
THE CASSANDRA COMPACT This was my second CO novel. When I began this novel, I had my doubts about whether the author could deliver. Some descriptions looked strange especially when talking about the same character. But in the end, the technical details really made up for areas that lacked the touch before. Overall a very good read.
Jon Smith is called in to investigate and make sure that the strain of pox still kept in the cold laboratories of Russia was still present. But the enemy is always one step ahead of him and his friends.
They suspect that the pox is on 3 different flights out of a Russian airport and tie up with British and French intelligence to be prepared for the worst. But the pox manages to be delivered to the US of A. With big shots from intelligence and scientific communities involved in this madness, it fills Jon with horror when he realizes that the enemy has developed a stronger strainer of pox for which there is no vaccine.
When things go out of control inside a spaceship and backup shuttle astronaut Megan Olson (a friend of Jon’s late wife) fights to stay alive and tell the world what happened, the book takes the reader to another level. When the spaceship lands, Jon must rescue the lady and make sure that the bad guy doesn’t release the pox to unprotected innocent citizens. And all this while the spaceship is programmed to self-destruct a few minutes after it lands. A nail-biting finish worthy of screenplay.
THE LAZARUS VENDETTAThe Lazarus Movement is here for protection of earth. Protection from the forces that are destroying it. Protecting it from technology. Protecting it from nano-technology. Protecting it from micro-machines that are so small that they are invisible to the naked human eye. The Lazarus movement was founded by a group of famous people each one of whom has disappeared under suspicious circumstances until the leader has gone underground to protect his/her own identity. It is very difficult to penetrate the inner circles of the Lazarus.
The FBI and CIA deputies to the chief are planning against the Lazarus movement and trying to brand them as a terrorist group. The president doesn’t want to allow that since there is world-wide support for the Lazarus.
Jon Smith is appointed as an external observer at a state of the art nanotech lab. The lab is surrounded by people belonging to the Lazarus movement who are protesting against the president, who is to arrive on the scene in a few days time to make a historic speech.
When the security team that has arrived there to secure the premises for the president’s visit acts funny, Jon finds out that the actual team is trapped outside the premises by the threatening crowd. Suspecting the worst he launches an attack before the terrorist team has time to react. Easily outnumbered by them, Jon watches in horror as they unleash nano-tech machines that kill hundreds of innocent people, and blow up the lab. He barely manages to stay alive himself.
The world sees it as proof of USA using the technology to develop weapons. The president cannot accuse the movement or stop its activities aimed at lobbying the world against the US.
Jon knows that the machines inside the lab, under his observation, could not have triggered off this massacre. And so he begins to probe in further.
Meanwhile, another massacre takes place in the outskirts of Paris, threatening to alienate US from its long time allies, and killing hundreds more.
So who is behind all this? The Lazarus? Someone else? Someone more powerful and organized?
When Jon and his buddies find out and try to stop them it is almost too late. The climax unfolds on board a chopper, thousands of feet above sea-level. When Peter leans the bird to one side, you can almost feel the tingle on the soles of your feet as you clench your teeth and hold your breath while you hang on to the last few pages to reach the end….the book would probably have torn by then…hahaha. A very well written one.

Here are two lessons for you to learn...
CORPORATE LESSON # 1
There were these 4 guys, a Russian, a German, an American and a French, who found this small genie bottle. When they rubbed the bottle, a genie appears. Thankful that the 4 guys had released him out of the bottle, he said, "Next to you all are 4 swimming pools, I will give each of you a wish. When you run towards the pool and jump, you shout What you want the pool of water to become, then your wish will come true."
The French wanted to start. He ran towards the pool, jumped and shouted WINE". The pool immediately changed into a pool of wine. The Frenchman was so happy swimming and drinking from the pool. Next is the Russian's turn, he did the same and shouted, "VODKA" and immersed himself into a pool of vodka.
The German was next and he jumped and shouted, "BEER". He was so contented with his beer pool. The last is the American. He was running towards the pool when suddenly he steps on a banana peel. He slipped towards the pool and shouted, "SHIT!!!!!!!........."
MORAL OF THE STORY: Mind your language, you never Know what it will land you in.
CORPORATE LESSON # 2
A young executive was leaving the office at 6 PM when he found the CEO standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand. "Listen," said the CEO, "this is a very sensitive and important document and my secretary has left. Can you make this thing work?"
"Certainly, Sir" said the young executive. He turned the machine on, inserted the paper, and pressed the start button.
"Excellent, excellent!" said the CEO as his paper disappeared inside the machine. "I just need one copy."
MORAL OF THE STORY: Never, never assume that your BOSS knows everything

Team Dinner

We went off to a team dinner. This time it was for celebrating three successful projects in the first half of this year...We went to a Spanish bar first for drinks before heading down to the Chinese restaurant. I had a Spanish Sunrise - mango, pineapple, orange juices punched together...tasted alright.
The dinner was so-so because it was mainly seafood and I am allergic. What surprises me most is even though we call up in advance telling Chinese restaurants how many of us are coming over...they still seem to find round tables big enough for 2/3 of the team and so everybody ends up squeezing in and concentrating more on not spilling the food than actually eating it! CRAZY!! If 17 people are coming over, why the big F is the table big enough to hold only 12 people?!!!!!!!!! This drives me nuts every time and I have a strong urge to not to attend any more squeeze in parties any where. I want to eat in peace...without discomfort...especially when I am paying for it...mind you, these places are not cheap! Well, some of the dishes were good. The birthday bun was so yummy!
FAMILY
I ran into a stranger as he passed by,"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,
"While dealing with a stranger,
Common courtesy you use,
But the family you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
You never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted
Today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too,
And I do like the flowers, especially the blue."

Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company
That we are working for could easily replace us in
a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than into our own family,
an unwise investment indeed,
Don’t you think?
So what is behind the story?
Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = (F) ATHER (A) ND (M) OTHER (I) (L) OVE (Y) OU
MY LIFE IS BRILLIANT.

MY LIFE IS PURE.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.
You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
There must be an angel with a smile on her face,
When she thought up that I should be with you.
But it's time to face the truth,
I will never be with you.
When it rained horses and elephants...
Bulletin updated at 17:49 HKT 16/Jul/2006Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong
Observatory.
An active southwest monsoon is bringing thundery showers to southern
China.
Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow
Cloudy with occasional rain. Rain will be heavy at times
with a few squally thunderstorms.
Temperatures will range between 25 and 29 degrees.
Fresh to strong south to southwesterly winds, gusty at times.
Hmmm...so I went clubbing all alone by myself after so many weeks...yikes...I went to the first place...which was very boring...there were 3 birthday parties and no fun...no dancing and so-so music...the bartender tried to buy me a drink because it was my birthday too...so chweet...but no thanks...
The second place...I was in and out within 5 minutes. There were a few desi people looking somewhat hideous...and then it was just the boring music...at least they don't play the charlie and chocolate factory any more...this was a new movie I could not even recognize!!
So finally I just went back to my darling Sugar...:-P
The music was Super last night...and so was part of the crowd. It didn't take me much time to get them to dance with me...mostly hip hop and there was quite a bit of pushing to dance with me...hahaha...CUTE...bad news..is that I dropped my large ring on the floor...in the crowd...and didn't have a chance to retrieve it...:-(( so poor...
At around 3am I stepped out when some people were leaving...on the ground floor I realised that it was really pouring down!!! Some people had umbrellas...some did not...I tucked my phone into the tissue pack and hopped out trying to get to a place right below the steps where I normally catch a cab from...
Proving the pundits right...there were no cabs in sight!!!. So I walked down to Marks and Spencer and stood there with some Korean girls for quite some time...then we decided to try our luck anyways...with all taxis headed towards kowloon and most of them not stopping at all...there were crowds being built up almost everywhere...I walked back towards lan kwai fong...to the Seven-Eleven store to buy a slim drink...and more tissue to dry my hair...amazingly Party Proof still had them spiked up :D...I bought an umbrella there and stood at the Kosmo Koffee corner for quite some time...No luck!! So I walked down towards Landmark...there was already quite a crowd building up there...I joined the queue for the cabs...NO SHOW...soon two gals stood right behind me...we got into a conversation and had a lot of fun...one of them was a waitress from London and very funny...they took turns dancing in the rain and cheering people up...I was thinking whether we would have to wait until MTR service resumed in the morning...it was getting close to 5am...we decided to share since most people were doing it anyways...
By the time I wrapped my shoes in a newspaper and finished showering it was already 5:30am...
I met Stan last night after failing to keep date with Rik...Stan got me a lovely foto frame as bday gift from UK. Still not decided what I should put on it...
I had Maggi for lunch and watched Fanaa...Review it later when I do Superman...
I gotta rush now...else I will miss the show...hehehe....up..up and away!!!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday To Me!!
Saturday, July 15:It's surprisingly easy to get rid of some old emotional baggage right now. Examine anything and everybody who's been a drain on your physical, spiritual and mental resources. Toss the old and welcome the new.As usual most of my friends forgot that its my birthday today ;;-) hehehe Thank God! Turning a year older is not exactly on my wish-list...
MRB did call me up on the next morning while some people opted for sms. It was great to talk to his mom after a long time. Lets see if I can find RRB (his brother) on the way back from my brother's marriage...Oh had I forgotten to announce that?
He is getting married on Dec 27...yeah, this year...Hurray!
Back...the BOSE SOUND-DOCK is fantastic!! I listened to music all night and I enjoyed the shuffle...between Korean, English, Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Thai songs besides Latino :-P
It was a surprise party at work...I had a reason to suspect in advance that something was afoot...with most team-mates disappearing suddenly and the performance meeting lasting for 30 mins...hmmm...and then Rita's tell-tale smiles :-)). So predictable...yet to respect their feelings, it was a surprise! It was a mango cake...so nice...Ceci remembered I love mangoes!!
And and and...it was also for HL, JL and FH too...because all of us are July babies...talking of babies!!! They gifted me a baby doll...ooh I love it so much...
it makes a sulking face like me :0)) and is actually darker :-P...surprise surprise, everybody thought the doll would be as dark as I am dark...hahaha....I am fairer....Helen dropped in with Arjun and Priya...
and I held her for sometime...but I guess it was not her best day and she was quite sensitive whenever anybody else held her...and it was funny the way in which she was rubbing her nose on my shirt...she went red suddenly and I was so scared. Helen assured that it was an allergy...Thank God! Arjun is turning out to be quite good looking...he didn't let anyone help him take off the candy wrapper and ate half of it :-)) hehehe
Everything was fine until Rita showed Priya my doll...she got scared and cried and cried and cried....until Helen had no other options but to leave...:-((

I went to TST later to pick up some DVDs and masks from Sasa...Rik had a tough time with me running around from one half to the other and finally decided to sit down until I was done...Will take him up on the Rainbath shower gel (neutrogena) next time... Somethings I have been using recently or picked up last night...
Jaguar Performance - This woody aromatic fragrance features Top Notes of refreshing basil and peppermint combined with spicy cypress. Floral violet, geranium and sage meet rich nutmeg at the Heart Notes and leads to a Base of sensual white musk which is set off by masculine exotic woods and ambery tonka beans.

Natio Eye Contour Treatment gel with soothing plant extracts help diminish dark circles & puffiness. Yeah, the stress and lack of sleep, is not what adds to the beauty :-P of the beast...
La Suffren SW Collagen Masks for mom. I am planning to give it a try as well...btw, today's mom
s birthday as well!!!

I have been using L'oreal hair gel and fixing sprays...
The Party Proof - is a hard fixing gel which you need to wash thoroughly out of your hair laters...because, it is waterproof! Perfect for having a raised hair-style and dancing for several hours...without any drooping or change in the way your hair looks...even after head-shaking marathons...:-)) perfect for discos....

TheMega Fixing Spritz is slightly heavy on the hair since it is not a mist and can weigh down making the hair sit down after you have styled it...so it may be appropriate for a flat combed look...but you can still try to spray it from the roots and pull upwards...holds...

What wins is the Viva molding clay...gel is out (except on disco nights)...the one I have been using for quite sometime was recommended by Stan and sold byJoe. Joe is my hair-stylist...must be so tough for him...hahaha...

Guess who I met last Thursday @ Times Square? Ed!! It's been months since I saw him last...he used to wash and dye my hair at Joe's. We could never communicate because of language problems...however, I was passing by this hi-end salon and somebody looked familiar! He looked at me with the same expression I guess. Both with changed hair-styles...:-)) Finally he came out to chat me up and we almost ended up taking the escalator in the wrong direction...:-)) He is a junior there and cuts only model day Tuesdays...so I told him I would call him up next month and drop in on his day. So lets see what he has learned at this new place...I guess career-wise it was a better move for him...
I also picked up Alberto V05 Hot Oil Shower Works for moisturizing and protection after all the dyeing...it is quite hot but low on conditioner. So you do need to use one after you have finished...

I am also trying out the anti-aging moisturizer and whitening serum from Regnerist line; eye treatment cream from Total Effects line; whitening masks, sun block, face wash and moisturizer from the White Radiance line from Olay. Though the masks were quite good with the contents the design is pretty bad...its designed for smaller faces and the eye portion has a slit instead of an oval cut. The slit pokes into the eye and burns until it turns red or you have washed it....I found a solution by slitting it further and turning it inside so that I could see!! Well, they seem to have come up with a new mask which is quite stretchable...but I think for some days I am going to try the La Suffren since it was highly recommended by an old sales lady at Sasa...though I wonder whether she uses any herself...if you buy 2 packs of 5, it costs you HK$153!!! I managed to talk them into selling me the individual ones priced at HK$9.9 more than the alloted quota of 6 per customer...hehehe.
Why the fuss over anti-aging and whiteness...well, better start early on the former and whats bad about the latter? With 2-3 hours of sleep, my face goes red with fire during the second half of working hours...I would rather have a slightly whiter face than the dull and sick one...
Ceci reported the same problem...too bad...the CD I got her to solve her sleep problems has turned out opposite...she cannot sleep after listening to the scary flute...hahaha...God bless her...I think both of us are quite stressed out right now and we need to get away without having to think about MY, IN, NZ, etc...Btw, I seemed to have lazed out on the Europe plans!! chi sin...:-(
Just been quite busy lately...Got two new projects coming up...one of them may include flying down to Sydney for a few days...oh my lovely plants...I have to use the Korea experiment so that you guys don't give up on me....should I put the delicate ones in the office so that someone takes care of them? or should I ask the Rik or Stan to help drop in once...well, Rik may do it...Stan would be too busy...he would prefer to buy me new plants rather than drop in to water them...which brings us to another topic...hehehe...I hope he does manage to squeeze out some time for...you know...if he doesn't plan to stay single all his life...hahaha...I guess he is trying...but for that matter. I think 3 of us are quite happily occupied with our freedom right now...well, one of us is almost there...All the best, mate!
Rik tipped me on to the MTR instant Upma mix...which I made this morning...wow!

Tastes great though a bit spicy...which reminds me...
The Mistress of Spice did not go down well with any kind of audience around the world...what on earth were they thinking?!! However, Ash looks beautiful as ever...this time out of a poster in CWB...cool...Be beautiful always...I picked up Leslie Beloved - 3 cd pack. He was a good singer from whatever I hear about his singing...so I thought I would listen to his singing for a few days...

I have actually been busy reading a few Robert Ludlum Covert One novels recently...I shall cover the reviews on a later post...The current one I am reading is The Mosco Vector...

Too bad my router has a problem. I could not login for over a day...and then finally I asked netvigator guys to reset the password and connected my PC directly to the modem. Let the router rest for some time and then may be I shall reconfigure it sometime in the week...

My Grandma's First
Death anniversary was on 13th July. I observed a day of veg diet and went to the temple to pray for her and grandpa...but the temple was closed and I had to look at most of the Gods from the windows. My favourite Hanuman was right next to the entrance, so I could spend more time with him. :-)Yahoo, Microsoft Messenger tie message knot

What Diano will do
Thursday, July 13:It's so easy to get caught up in everyone else's agenda, but any more of this and you'll feel like you only have half a life. It's time to make your priorities come first. Live life according to your timetable.
Diano says: What the heck. Everybody is occupying my life with their problems...who is gonna attend to mine?! Who is gonna make me happy?! Every year I wish almost all my friends on their birthday...How many will return the wish? Hahahaha! Wake up, mate.
Here is what we did today...
I bought the awsome BOSE SOUNDDOCK DIGITAL MUSIC SYSTEM for HK$2690 to go with my iPod Video....Read more about the specs here.

And here is what is on my wish list for a healthier me...however, I have still not made up my mind whether I want the Osim Cardio Trek Elliptical

or the OSIM Cardio Bike Magnetic.
Peg after Peg...
Read carefully & ‘slowly’ to enjoy it! :-)I never take risk while drinking
When I come from office in the evening, wife is cooking
I can hear the noise of utensils in the kitchen
I stealthily enter the house
Take out the bottle from my black cupboard
Shivaji Maharaj is looking at me from the photo frame
But still no one is aware of it
Becoz I never take a risk
I take out the glass from the rack above the old sink
Quickly enjoy one peg
Wash the glass and again keep it on the rack
Of course I also keep the bottle inside my cupboard
Shivaji Maharaj is giving a smile
I peep into the kitchen
Wife is cutting potatoes
No one is aware of what I did
Becoz I never take a risk
I: Any news on chopra's daughter's marriage
Wife: Nope, she doesn't seem to be that lucky. Still they are looking
out for her
I again come out; there is a small noise of the black cupboard
But I don't make any sound while taking out the bottle
I take out the glass from the old rack above sink
Quickly enjoy one peg
Wash the bottle and keep it in the sink
Also keep the Black Glass in the cupboard
But still no one is aware of what I did
Becoz I never take a risk
I: But still I think chopra's daughter's age is not that much
Wife: What are you saying? She is 28 yrs old... like an aged horse
I: (I forgot her age is 28) Oh Oh...
I again take out potatoes out from my black cupboard
But the cupboard's place has automatically changed
I take out the bottle from the rack and quickly enjoy one peg in the sink
Shivaji Maharaj laughs loudly
I keep the rack in the potatoes & wash Shivaji Maharaj's photo & keep
it in the black cupboard
Wife is keeping the sink on the stove
But still no one is aware of what I did
Becoz I never take a risk
I: (getting angry) you call Mr. chopra a horse? If you say that again, I
will cut your tongue...!
Wife: Don't just blabber something, go out and sit quietly...
I take out the bottle from the potatoes
Go in the black cupboard and enjoy a peg
Wash the sink and keep it over the rack
Wife is giving a smile
Shivaji Maharaj is still cooking
But still no one is aware of what I did
Becoz I never take a risk
I: (laughing) So chopra is marrying a horse!!
Wife: Hey go and sprinkle some water on your face...
I again go to the kitchen, and quietly sit on the rack
Stove is also on the rack
There is a small noise of bottles from the room outside
I peep and see that wife is enjoying a peg in the sink
But none of the horses are aware of what I did
Becoz Shivaji Maharaj never takes a risk
chopra is still cooking
And I am looking at my wife from the photo and laughing
Becoz I never take what???
A letter from Mumbai (courtesy Nila)
Dear Terrorist,Even if you are not reading this we don't care. Time and again you tried to disturb us and disrupt our life - killing innocent civilians by planting bombs in trains, buses and cars. You have tried hard to bring death and destruction, cause panic and fear and create communal disharmony but everytime you were disgustingly unsuccessful. Do you know how we pass
our life in Mumbai? How much it takes for us to earn that single rupee? If you wanted to give us a shock then we are sorry to say that you failed miserably in your ulterior motives. Better look elsewere, not here.
We are not Hindus and Muslims or Gujaratis and Marathis or Punjabis and Bengaliies. Nor do we distinguish ourselves as owners or workers, govt. employees or private employees. WE ARE MUMBAIKARS (Bombay-ites, if you like). We will not allow you to disrupt our life like this. On the last few occassions when you struck (including the 7 deadly blasts in a single
day killing over 250 people and injuring 500+ in 1993), we went to work next day in full strength.
This time we cleared everything within a few hours and were back to normal - the vendors placing their next order, businessmen finalizing the next deals and the office workers rushing to catch the next train. (Yes the same train you targetted) Fathom this: Within 3 hours of the blasts, long queues of blood donating volunteers were seen outside various hospital, where most of the injured were admitted. By 12 midnight, the hospital had to issue a notification that blood banks were full and they didn't require any more blood. The
next day, attendance at schools and office was close to 100%, trains & buses were packed to the brim, the crowds were back.
The city has simply dusted itself off and moved one - perhaps with greater vigour. We are Mumbaikers and we live like brothers in times like this. So, do not dare to threaten us with your crackers. The spirit of Mumbai is very strong and can not be harmed. Please forward this to others. U never know, by chance it may come to hands of a terrorist and he can then read this message which is specially meant for him!!!
With Love,
From the people of Mumbai (Bombay)
Training! Training! Training!
A few weeks back I underwent training courses on Listening & Communications Skills and Assertiveness. Some people I knew in the past gave up on me because I was bad at communications. The teacher felt otherwise. I think I am good at communicating and listening. But I may sound harsh at times because to me being honest and straight to the point is what matters most. The problem I face at times is that people sometimes feel that they need to walk me through each stone before we arrive at the destination...duh!...even when I tell them repeatedly that - I GOT YOUR POINT! LETS MOVE ON!! and still they seem to go on for what may seem like hours!!!
Anyways. I always had trouble. Being more overly proposing and less assertive I always ran into problems where I could not say NO, I DO NOT WANT TO DO IT BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME. I WOULD RATHER FINISH MY JOB IN TIME. It was so difficult to say that. How could I say no to someone who came for help...And then Katherine Bruss explained to me why and how...and I took it to a different level during my subsequent handling of troublesome individuals/groups.
Today's training was on Presentation Skills. I came home early to prepare and plan in advance about what I was going to say for those 5 mins. But due to some reasons, I could not. Though I arrived late, I was actually the first one in the class and towards the end there were only 4 participants besides the instructor, Jeffery Markley. I was scheduled to go in the 2nd slot and it was a disaster as far as I was concerned, because the audience was quite non-techy and my presentation was planned for normal stuff I cover for tech teams. So I had to change the contents on the fly but the damage had already been done. I told the instructor my bad points. Not exactly fears but reasons for some real awkward moments where my focus would wander off towards handling them rather than the presentation. Firstly, being so tall, it is a problem of what I do with my huge hands. Do I put them in my pockets...do I cross them across the chest...do I make fists...do I keep them open...all these during the non-gesticulation periods...because otherwise I would be really wandering off with my gestures...He asked me to try holding a pen but not playing with it. Thats a catch 22 situation...I tried it. I like holding the pen!! But I could not stop playing with it...I am a person who cannot sit still or stand still for a few minutes...I even eat my meals swaying to music...And that was another point. He said I should stand straighter. Today my voice and gestures were a bit restricted due to the tremendous pain in my back...but I carried on...because they are temporary conditions...I hope... Another question I had for him was - what to drink. Because due to the lack of practice of talking for over an hour at a stretch, my mouth would go dry and I would have a very sore throat...He said definitely nothing else but warm water....no coke light, no tea, no cold water...
Good! I have always suspected that my eye contact is quite good during presentations. But today I was told that it needs to be longer...the one person one thought theory and look at the persons farther down the room for longer duration...good point. I tried it out and it really worked well. We also learned how to structure our presentations...not the slides...but our verbal discourses...What a scientific way! *the ESTJ guy wakes up* I was also asked to stress and emphasize for more better speech and to slow down everytime I got excited...We had some mini-assignments...like deliver a speech...Mine was Winston Churchill's - blood, tears, sweat....while others had bed time story, Donald Tsang and Tung Chee Waa. I was recalled fond memories of my Mark Antony discourse where I had wiped out all competition. I guess if I know the script I am pretty good in the acting department...but the problem is memory...and with that comes remembering the exact words...*SIGH* Now you know why I never tried hollywood, bollywood, yet...:D I had a ball doing the other presentations on my favourite hobby (which I said was blogging....eew) and redoing the first presentation (the one I did in the morning). This time I followed structure better and it was purely non-technical and more eye-contact and gestures...which the audience liked. They have made DVDs of the assignments and we would be getting them soon. Thank God, the first one (in the morning) could not be fimed for some tech reason and I would not get to see it and lose sleep over it. hehehee.
The next one I am looking forward to is Writing Good Emails. I have already sent them 5 samples of my emails to study and give me feedback. Of course these are real emails not fake ones...I have done a 4D (Delegate, Defer, Do it Now, Delete - popularly known as Delete delete delete delete :-)) course in managing outlook before and it has been quite helpful in keeping my inbox clean...but I have lost it on the sent items folder...simply because I have run into many people who do not read emails and conveniently delete, ignore or forget about sending a response...aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....patience...as I have explained many times before....is not a virtue I possess....
What are the other training courses I have attended? MBTI type indicator...this one needs a separate blog since it is quite exciting...I also see it as a big big area I need to work on. My ultimate aim besides being a writer some day is also to hold a PR post where I deal with a lot of people. And this kind of training course would really help me towards being a person who can understand others better...
Lets turn in now....

Had a Bad Day?!
Bad Day (Daniel Powter)
Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on
You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces everytime
And I don't need no carryin' on
Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day
Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on
You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
(Oh.. Holiday..)
Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong
So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Lets shock me :-O
| You Are 70% Boyish and 30% Girlish |
You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch. Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes. You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them. You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be. |
My Saddest Moments...

After 3 months of getting them through post and almost a year after she passed away, I finally had the courage to open her funeral pics. The pain came back. The tears rolled down. For almost 2 hours I felt great sadness as always. She comes in my dreams very frequently. She doesn't say anything. She is happy. She is sick. She makes me breakfast. She plays with me. I just know she loves me very much. And I love her very much. It's just that we are in two different worlds right now. Can the love keep on growing like this until I cross over?
I resented others plans of renovating her room. I objected to it because I know she would never want it if she were there. For me she still exists and I do not want anybody to change a thing. The bed, the tv, the key hanger, the calendar, the good luck messages on the walls, the ever interesting cupboards that would always bring me and Peggy hours of fun just going through her stuff...the stuff would be as simple as a knitting needle...or a photograph...or her silver medal...her old books...she is the one who taught me to respect the books...and that I always will. Her clothes, her rocking chair, her slippers, her pony-tail, her soft skin, her grey hair, her voice, her smell, her breathing, her remote control, her watch, her bangles, her ear-studs, the ancient songs she would sing and the prayers, the offerings, the sunday brunches, her feeding me until I would explode, her favouring me, her scolding me, her being hurt from my harshness, her understanding...everything still exists...two different worlds...sometimes I feel I should cross over just to see how she is...would she mind? does she miss me? I remember my first flight through the universe when I kept on searching everywhere and finally found a lots of flowers, big flowers and rainforests. There was a crocodile there and I put my head right into its mouth and it didn't bite me. The master said, that may be her. Just symbollic? Or she out there somewhere in the wilderness amongst the trees that she loved so much. How can someone understand our pain? How can someone understand how much it hurts when you have planted a sappling and its grown into a tree and someone else cuts them away...Who wants the concrete jungles? There is so little life around us.
How can I explain my pain? How can I explain myself? How can I tell that I am not what they want me to be. I am what I am. I am different. The pain stays. Why do I need to feel so ashamed? I did nothing wrong. This is my life, I want to live it my way. The more you try to hold me, the more easily I slip away beyond your reach.
Some things in life cannot be explained. Some should not be explained. Some are understood. Some are misunderstood. We just keep on hurting. Ourselves and others. Life is so short. Why can we just not live as we want to? In love, peace and happiness. But again, if we understood the complications then we would not be what we are and may we will still be what we are. Who can understand me when sometimes I have failed to understand myself...I miss her so much...she would understand...always...RIP

REPEAT*##
我只會更愛你
Help!
It's so bloody humid these days...or should I say sweaty humid...1 in every 1000 persons sweats a lot...that's me...bloody hell.Skipped the matches yesterday...*tsk* I knew Portugal would win over England anyways...France was a surprise...with Ronaldo getting too old (read heavy)...hmmm...actually he is still lighter than I am...which means - he is SHORT!
Nothing personal about it...caught off with Stanovitch again...he is off to LDN-NYC (I think I mentioned before?!!) tonight...poor...he is afraid of flying...hope the height = no turbulence...enjoy your time!
Sugar...got very crowded last night as usual...after half past midnight...and those two girls just had a wild wild go...
Lazed around most of the day with the maid coming in for 3 hours...she was so happy to get paid on the same day of service...hahaha...I watched two films - Tom, Dick & Harry and Darna Zaroori Hai Will review movies and books sometime this coming week...not tonight...its very hot and I am going for my umpteenth cold water shower...heavenly...
Super joke
Superman was feeling bored after a long break of crime fighting and wanted to go out and party. He called Batman to ask if he wanted to go to a club & pick up some young girls. Batman said Robin was ill & he had to look after him.
A little disappointed, Superman "SMS" Spiderman to see if he Fancied a few beers but Spiderman said he had a date with Catwoman.
As a last resort, Superman flew over to Wonderwoman's apartment to see if she was free.
As he landed on her balcony, he saw Wonderwoman naked on the bed With her legs open and her eyes closed.
Superman thought to himself,
"So exotic, should I or shouldn't I ...wait ....I'm faster than a speeding bullet! I can be in there out again before she knew what happened."
So Superman did his super thing in a split second and flies off happily.
Meanwhile on the bed, Wonderwoman said, "What is going on? Did you hear anything?"
Hollow -Man replied, "No! But....... my @$$ hurts like hell!!!!!"
Sucker Fans!!
After watching the stupid umpiring last night between Args n Gers...I may just watch the finals now...someone is felled inside the penalty area by the opponents and gets a yellow card....wow....no wonder the match went on for so long...also puts a question in your mind...are back goalkeepers really upto it or are they just poor seconds? and then there is Cris...may be I will change my mind...He called me up and asked me to pray for his team...

I did
He called me up and asked me to come and watch him play...
I cannot see him cry anymore...
Not that Becks is what I fear the most...We have the pre-planned move towards Sugar again...though may be...we can coax them into showing football on one of the screens...but they won't...and again, this is the world cup...either u r watching footie or u r not...too bad Stan is flying to NYC and LDN on sunday night. We watched our first football game together yesterday and Sunny's Korean friend asked me how good he is...I could just remember one scene...Ball on the solar plexus knocking the wind out of him...and his cries in pain...Hmm quite vocal for a manly game...:-)) hahahahahahaha but again what has gender got to do with it...emotions have no gender...you feel pain...you cry...or you don't cry...its always either or...never neither nor...Cristiano Ronaldo
